Split Pea Soup . . . Yummy!

Last night I made Split Pea Soup (BCC - 313). It really is not difficult to make, it just takes a little time. I think the recipe should require 10 cups of water instead of 8 and less cooking time. The soup turned out thicker than what I really like. I do appreciate a thick soup, but this was really a little too thick for my taste. Also, because of the lack of moisture the soup burned a little in the bottom of the pan. As for cooking time, it really did not take the vegetables added at the end 45 minutes to become tender.

We all agreed that it was good! It really was just the perfect dinner for a rainy night.
